The Best In Online Training Resources
If you are still foreign to what online training looks like and what it has to offer, this article is for you. Considering all the digital options we have at our fingertips for support (online trainers, fitness apps, zoom classes and social media platform libraries), we have no excuse to not get motivated and moving in fitness! This article will help you find your best fit, get you started, and keep you going.
FINDING THE BEST ONLINE TRAINING FIT
Discovering what best fits you will consist of knowing what options are out there, what you are genuinely interested in (which will ensure follow-through), and what your budget is. Once you acknowledge these factors you can confidently accept what will work best for you. Below you will be provided with several different options to consider and approach. The secret ingredient to showing up and staying is genuine interest and knowing what makes you tick (or not). Allow me to spark that interest in you by the end of this read.
ONLINE TRAINING OPTION 1: ONE-ON-ONE TRANSFORMATION TRAINING
This traditional and effective option can consist of e-mails, texts, phone calls, and or video chatting (through devices such as Skype, Zoom, Facebook video chat or iPhone’s FaceTime). Client success is derived from tailored training and nutritional meal plans created for your specific condition, lifestyle and goals sent via e-mail with the expectation of shared progress check-in photos. Here you usually receive an initial diet for a few weeks to a month, then updated tweaks during your trainer’s chosen benchmark period until you reach your desired goal.
Although this option may be the most costly out of what I’ll be presenting, the good news is that since we do not have a shortage of fitness professionals out there, there will be competitive pricing. I recommend choosing not only a price that fits your wallet but also to choose a trusted source by asking for referrals or doing your research. The two trainers that I highly recommend for transformational weight loss or muscle-building goals are Britany Coutu (www.coutufit.com) or Sam Setiaboedhi (IG @ssambody).
If you are interested in more functional fitness such as one-on-one boxing, this same type of online support can be offered and tailored to you depending on your access to boxing equipment such as a heavy bag or speed bag. However have no fear, if you do not have a punching bag, shadow boxing mixed with calisthenics, HIIT training and mental conditioning can also be effective and offered by another great source pro Bellator MMA fighter Ian Butler (IG: @ianbutlerMMA). He is one of many online fighting resources out there. Happy shopping!
ONLINE TRAINING OPTION 2: FITNESS APPS
In addition, to live one-on-one coaching, you can also benefit from utilizing a fitness app. Apps are an extremely affordable way to start a successful program. The Internet can be SO OVERWHELMING with information. It’s hard to know where to begin and what source to trust (outside of www.Labrada.com of course). With an app backed by a credible source, you can have a “one-stop-shop” with an abundance of information at your fingertips. Also, I believe if you choose the right app, you can benefit just as much as you would from one on one online coaching. A good app will allow you to tailor your efforts towards your goals, provide great instruction and visuals along with ways to track your results and stay motivated. Apps that come to mind are “Sculpt: Fit Exercise Workouts” by Orange County celebrity trainer Ken Rawlins and the “Peter Lee Thomas Celebrity Fitness App” created by Halle Berry’s trainer, Peter Lee Thomas. Another extremely credible option is the new Lean Body app from Labrada Nutrition. The app offers:
• Articles that range from diet and nutrition, training, health and fitness, supplements, motivation and mindset, in addition, to recovery and injury prevention.
• Videos that provide meal prep instruction and an abundance of visuals to help you learn about exercise techniques.
• Recipes that will keep you fueled and away from boredom.
• Workout tracker that will act as your training map and accountability tool towards your best progress.
• Nutrition tracker where you are guided on creating meal plans based on your goals.
• Lean body community board where we can affirm our progress and help others stay motivated as well.

ONLINE TRAINING OPTION 3: GROUP YOGA FOR INJURY PREVENTION OR STRESS REDUCTION
When it comes to wellness I NEVER leave out the balancing concept of good yoga practice. My favorite yoga instructor is Elena Schoenberger, who was the reason for my yoga membership in Costa Mesa before pre covid. I was blessed when I realized she offered online zoom courses for as low as $10 drop in or $65/month unlimited classes. Elena’s classes offer traditional vinyasa yoga, slower on ground relaxed yin yoga, chair yoga, and also fitness classes! Being in her class and hearing her message of the day during practice feels like adult story time hour where you are taken away on a deep inner self-journey with teaching from the great ones before us. My spirit is worked while my muscles are stretched for injury prevention; it’s great. It also doesn’t hurt that Elena has her psychology degree from UCLA. Her educational background on the inner self, mind, and spirit make her not only a creditable source but also a STEAL for the price she is currently charging. ONLINE TRAINING OPTION 4: ADDITIONAL NO COST SOURCES
If your budget is small but you would still like to benefit from guidance, you can always search social media platforms that have credibility through an established following and engagement as a trustworthy source. Simply search keywords such as #athomeworkouts or #armday to find countless video options on Instagram. You can also have your pick on Youtube via your search topic of choice. However, I’d highly recommend your “one-stop shop” being the Labrada Nutrition channel where you will never be misled and always be entertained!
There you have it. Welcome to the world of digital fitness, where virtual convenience is giving people more results than ever before! I literally have seen friends I honestly never dreamed of transforming show off their before and after images or current progress photos on social media with the beach body that was only once a dream thanks to the virtual support of a peloton or YouTube videos. Be that friend; be your friend and jump on the online training bandwagon if you haven’t. Write me and tell me how it goes. Happy training my friends!
